Located on Beau Vallon Beach, one of Mahé’s most sought-after coastal destinations, Story Seychelles is a five-star boutique resort set between the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and the lush mountainous landscape of Mahé. The architectural approach embraces the site’s tropical character, with a low-density resort layout that opens towards the beach, lagoon and surrounding vegetation. Pitched roofs, generous overhangs, timber detailing and natural stone elements create a warm island expression, while shaded terraces, open-air dining spaces and landscaped pathways encourage a relaxed indoor-outdoor experience. The design frames key views towards the ocean and mountains, allowing the resort to feel closely connected to its exceptional natural setting. Pools, water features and tropical gardens are integrated throughout the scheme, reinforcing a sense of calm, privacy and barefoot luxury. Completed through Stages 1–3 between 2016 and 2017, the project was developed in partnership with international architects Tirant Associates.
